The Milaca Arts Center is run by the Milaca Fine Arts Council (MFAC) a non-profit organization that has been producing art events in the Milaca area since 2005.
The first Milaca Arts Center opened in 2008 in what was then the old Lines
Law Office on Central Avenue in Milaca. The city owned the vacant
building and allowed us to use the space rent-free as long as we paid the
utility bills. We held many art shows, musical events, and book readings in
that quaint space. The first MAC closed in 2009 due to the expansion of
the grocery store.
Without our space, MFAC continued to produce events in the area like
Music in the Park, the Spring Students Art Show, and House Concerts.
We opened the current Milaca Arts Center in 2012. We are located at 170
2nd Ave. SW in Milaca. This building is also owned by the city and is a
shared space with the Milaca Senior Center (MSC). Most of the MAC
events take place in the evenings or on weekends, which is the opposite of
the Milaca Senior Center hours. Check our calendar for upcoming MAC events and stop in and see us.
The mission of the Milaca Arts Center is to provide an inviting space where art and community meet.
On the MAC Stage you find local and regional talent musicians.
